RIBBED RISSO
| Common under stones
or rubble in shallow water. Glassy inflated whorls with strong
axial ribs and spiral striae between, protoconch of 1.5 whorls, a deep
notch at base of body whorl. White or brown. Attains 0.2 inch,
5 mm. Mauritius to Hawaii, French
Polynesia, and Rapa Nui. Rissoina turricula is a synonym. |
